Got a letter today telling me my 12 month Skoda/RAC breakdown cover is coming to a end and it with cost me £90 for a years cover. Is this any good ??.

I could have sworn mine's meant to last for three years....

...better check the small print when I get home.

I bought the car used 12 months ago , the car is 4 yrs old in March. When you do buy a new car you do get 3yrs road cover etc etc.

Just looked at the AA/RAC websites and the quote £108/£101 respectively. I could take out 2 yr cover for £145, not bad really.

Can't open driver's window without holding onto button

65 Reg Octavia estate All my other windows work ok but on the driver's door window I have to hold down the button until the window is fully open. A quick press of the button closes it just fine but opening is the problem. There's no info in the manual that helps I can't help thinking I've had this problem before and somehow solved the problem but I can't remember how. My online research suggested holding the button down until it opened fully and continue holding for a few seconds, then closi

Hi, hopefully you won't mind my question here - I don't have an Octavia, but its close relative from a Spanish brand. But mechanically, they are same. Anyway, I have a 77kW CBZB. It worked flawlessly for the year I own the car, but when this summer started, I noticed occasional loss of power. It only happens in hot weather (around 30 degrees and up) with AC on. In most cases, it happened when I wanted to accelerate after mild climbing at lower gear at ~2000RPM. It feels almost like a limp mode

I have had an ongoing problem for 2 years with my 2018 Kodiaq .2.0l TSI battery losing charge over a few days and the battery charging randomly at different charge rates. To date I have had: 2 replacement batteries (at my cost) then under Extended Warranty (now expired) 1 replacement negative battery lead (with sensor) 1 replacement alternator Symptoms (monitored with Ancel Battery Manager device and multimeter) Battery discharges in a few hours from 100% SoC /12.8v to around 65% then conti

2017 octavia 2.0 tdi . smoke from exhaust, whistling noise from turbo, burning oil. smoke looks whiteish/blueish. turbo pipes all ok. burning alot of oil. no fault codes or eml lights. only light on dash is orange oil can light
