Fitting VRS clocks into a non-VRS

Featured Replies

Can it be done? What does it entail?

Why would you want to? Remember the vRS rev counter is a diesel one that redlines at 4800rpm, so unless you have a TDI that's no good.

You'd need VAG-COM to recode the instrument pack to the engine ECU for a start, and you'd probably need to recode your keys to the panel as well.

vRS dials do look better than TDi ones but would imagine the job is hard to switch so may not be worth the hassle

They would have to be new clocks, but not too difficult to swap.

Thanks for the info. I wanted to try to fit used clocks into my Fabia 1.9TDi. Is that possible, or can I only fit new ones? Can you reset used clocks to look like new ones?
