im getting blue flame cat back for my vrs shall i bother with sport cat?? will it make that much dif+im getting re map after 2 at jabber getting the custom one

If I was considering sport cat or not - I would get rid of the cat all together it would be far cheaper, my blueflame makes my car very dirty :( needs cleaning after 2-3days and thats driving gently through town.

Been told a sports cat on a diesel is an elaborate waste of money. Keep it in or rip it out I was told.

Is your turbo uprated Joel? I'm still a bit worried about some suggesting that removing the cat can destroy the turbo quicker. Just looking for info before i de-cat with a straight pipe.

No its standard.

Like I say I have a boost gauge and no problems I can see in that respect.

cool. You can understand my concerns though.

Well, defo looks like i'm going down the custom exhaust route with a de cat, still swithering wether to put a back box on it or leave as a straight pipe..........

With regards to a cat on a diesel, what are the pro's and con's please? On a petrol its obviously noise and performance versus failing its mot lol, what about a diesel?

Pro's:

Feels less restricted at higher RPMS, quicker turbo spool up, possibly small BHP gain

Con's:

Smelly.

lol smelly lol

So you can "gas" the car behind you in more fun and interesting ways lol ;)

has anyone got any decent videos of fabias with decats?

are they really ott loud like saxos n corsas?
