Temperature warning light ar start up

Featured Replies

Has anyone got any advice for this possible problem with my 1.9TDI PD100.

If I turn the ignition and fire it up and then dont move for 30 seconds then the temperature warning light comes on. If I pull away within the first 30 seconds then the warning light doesn't come on at all.

Cheers for any advice.

Thats strange. I had just the same thing with my fabia vrs the other day. I started the car to warm it up while I scraped ice from the windows and the temp. warning light was flashing....thought it might be due to the cold weather!!

Can anyone explain this??

I have the exact same fault, it is apparantly a common problem with the fabia as the the expansion tank sensor pins start to Corrode. Claybank in manchester (Skoda dealership) say that they sell quite abit of them, and they see it as a common fault. I am having mine replaced on Friday and will see if it makes any difference. I cant see it as a wiring fault, so im just trying to rule out the obvious first. I will post a reply on the Sunday to see the problem still persists.

this subject was recently talked about, replacement expasion tank sensor or coolant top up to sort

Cheers folks

Will try topping up the coolant first to see if that solves it.

Is there an online site I can order one from or is this a skoda only part?

I'm having the same problem!

thanks
