Isn't the VW one a Denison anyway?

I could be wrong but I thought it was.

If you want to keep your CD changer if you have one you need a denison gateway, otherwise the more basic one should be fine.

I got a Dension. It works but is a bit frustrating and slow to respond. There's no facility to display text on the standard HU. Dont know if the VW version is better but it doesn't look like the Dension one.

Also, the V Dub one is kindof OEM.

Id go VW.

I had a Gateway 400 in my Octy, which interfaced smoothly with my MFD2 Sat Nav and I thought it was superb. I could use the CD multi, USB stick and ipod all from the sterring wheel too. I wrote a review of it somewhere on here.
