Featured Replies

Greetings to all.I have 2002 1.9tdi estate we bought it in Jan.Its time for its 1st service[with me doing the job]just coming up to 77000 miles.Whats the best oil to use and wheres the best place to get service parts and is there anything I need to pay special attention to.Any tips would be gladly accepted,Oh by the way how easy is the service indicator to reset.

prit easy re set the service light i got shown it when my mate did mine and i wrote it down somewere will try find it on the oil front try geting in touch with 'granvil oil ' one of the reps helped me or maybe a dealer say your looking for oil for a top up but it is a bit of a nightmare find out whos tellin the truth

GSF for oil maybe - Fuchs at good price, personally I'd try a VAG outlet for filter and maybe plug/washer. Maybe check out the Haynes site to see if their workshop manual is any use to you.

I'd use GSF or Euro for oil (Fuchs is good and not expensive, as mentioned) and for parts.

Opie Oil's the site sponsor is my pick - oil and filter packages specific for your car :)
