Dead Chuffed...!!!

Featured Replies

I am at last on the case with installing my new ICE in the Octy. Spent all of last saturday with a mate, totally sound deadening all the doors, boot, boot lid and floor.

Whoa what a difference even with just the standard stereo, which I can now turn up past 15 without it turning off or down. It has also reduced road noise.

I did this in the last car but not as thoroughly as this time, so it was well worth getting totally sunburnt to do it. Trust me to pick the hottest day of the year!!

I used Aquaseal which is great to work with and available from your local DIY superstore (they use it to waterproof things with) My best advice is to stick it in the fridge the night before as I did if u plan to use it in warm weather.

The whole job cost me just over

Well done

Would like to do the furby's doors and boot but can't be arsed at the moment. Had the whole week off week and done bugger all :D apart from a all day drinking session up in lancaster with brother :D

Did you take any pics, by any chance?

If I had a week off, I suspect I'd be doing a similar thing. :dtp:

I'm going to be shoving some of the old insulation from under the wrecked furby's floor carpet, over the rear arches, and hopefully inside the boot trim itself. As for the front doors, I'll have to see what it's like and how much insulation I have to shove in any gaps in them too.

Some of the stuff from my wreck has proved quite useful in my current car. :D

Andre, don't forget that once installed....................................

Alright..Alright,...no I forgot. But I will take some on the next installment...I promise ya'll. :D

Did the doors on mine.

May have to do the boot when the 2 12's go in and the 3 800W amps :speaker: :speaker: :speaker: :speaker: :musicears

Pick up bass box tonight then need to pick from 3 designs or may even make it up as i go along like normal

THREE?! you gonna be running a Briggs & stratton genny in the back to keep powering them? :P Although if its 800W peak, not RMS then its probably OK. I power my two 12s with just one 1000W peak amplifier, which seems to do the job pretty well IMO (approx 100W RMS on 2 channels). And the Rockford is only a 60.2 punch amp, but as all old skool amps should be really good at powering my comps.
