Call me crazy, but...

...I quite fancy turning my car into a sort of VRS-Lite!

I haven't won the lottery, so this will probably be spread out over the next year or so :)

This is what I'm currently working with, although the car now has a Milotec grille

What do VRS front bumpers in decent nick (so as to avoid repairs, just painting) typically go for? I think, in Graphite Grey and with the Cupra splitter, it would look :D

Wheels will be changed in the Spring, so I have a bit of time to decide on that one.

And on a more performance-related topic, if I should decide to get the car remapped, are uprated clutches available for the pd100 5-speed? I understand there's a Sachs kit for the VRS. Brakes are already taken care of ;)

I'm also loving the thought of a pair of heated VRS front seats to relace my rather unsupportive (but toasty ;)) seats...and having them match the interior courtesy of a Seat Surgeons leather retrim...but I'm probably getting ahead of myself

As you can probably gather, my Fabia is more of a hobby than just mere transport...

Thoughts on the above are much appreciated.

CCCRRRRAAAZZZZZYYYYY!

well you did ask to be called it ;)

I saw vRS bumpers on ebay, no idea how much or what condition they're in bud.

Plans sound good, but it'll cost quite a bit i would imagine.

Good luck though

All good ideas mate and cant wait to watch your progress. One thing though I'd deffo look into the seats a bit further as I have heard that its a BIG BIG job to fit them as wiring looms go etc... but if it's poss I'd go for it.

Problem ive got is. I've already got leather seats so dont wanna start messing with them when theyre in good nick.

Fear not, I get called that on a very regualr basis!

Will check out eBay though, just to watch what they go for for a while. I'm not in a rush, winter's too close :(

Cheers! :) All progress will be promptly reported on here

Yeah, it's probably a good thing that I work in a garage. I mean, I'm not particularly handy, but my mates are  They get plaenty of mate's rate's beer tokens...

Although, I'd have thought that since my car already has heated seats, it wouldn't be toooo bad?

As long as your comfortable with your madness.......just like me *gibber gibber wibble wibble* ;)

If i was you, the vRS lite sounds a good idea, but i'd put my own stamp on it by twisting the vRS theme ;):) lol

It'll be smoother and meaner, hopefully as quick as a standard vRS, and a much nicer colour  As for wheels, I'm thinking 17' Octy Spiders, chunky RS4s, TT Comps in that order.

In all honesty, I'm a born tinkerer, and I just want to see what I can do with it while keeping it practical as an everyday car on not-very-smooth roads (I found out to my cost that PI springs are a bit harsh, so I've splashed out on Koni FSD's and Eibachs, should be here any day now).

And I'm perfectly comfortable with my madness :P as I type this, I'm sitting in a corner, gently rocking and mumbling to myself about Skodas...

 good lad lol

Think you should get a nice highly polished boost pipe for the car 1st ;)

at least you can rock, my straight jacket doesn't let me...........

who said that.........................................the voices the voices :P :)

 the voices have told me the van with the ''loo-pee loo-pee' sirens is coming for me...

Ooh, don't tempt me :) it's not payday yet!

I trust this'll fit the PD100 too?

Yeah it should do mate. I'm noticing a difference when driving, the car feels smoother and happier under boost

Go on, you know you want one ;) lol

Feck it, I'll PM you

This site is dangerous...

lol the screen has ears ;) lol

Give me a PM, add yourself to the thread on the for sale section and we'll get you sorted out ;):)

Clutch wise there is a fair bit of choice.

You can go for a G60 solid flywheel and an uprated clutch..

I think the current bumpers look quite alright. Wouldnt bother changing them, some nice wheels maybe.

I quite like the wheels............

did you get my PM joel?
