sat nav facia bezel thingy

Featured Replies

Hi,

does anyone know where I can get the silver facia that incorporates the climate dials and is shaped to fit around the sat nav head unit, or even the part number as I have called my local dealing and they were reluctant to sell me one as i am doing it myself???

also how much are they?

Oh one last thing do all skoda oct 2 vrs head units turn the volume up when the car goes fast and vice versa and if so how do you turn the bugga off?

Thanks

Cheers thankyou which one fits mine as there are two alu ones mentioned with different part numbers?

Do you have the climatic or the climatronic AC in your car?

Actually...better question...is this how your dash currently looks?

If so then the replacement trim with room for the MFD3 is only available in black.

It has the part number:

1Z0858069B9B9

The piece of trim will cost you about £5.

If you want to make it silver, pop along to Halfords and purchase:

Plastic Primer (Grey)

VW Satin Silver Spray Paint

Clear Lacquer

A couple of good clean coats of the primer.

Build the silver up slowly - I think I went over mine about 6 or 7 times.

Finally give it some lacquer to protect the finish.

I went and bought two pieces of the trim and if my attempt to spray it had resulted in a mess then I'd have just used the black one.

Thankfully it really came out well - I've not got it installed as of yet, MFD3 is going in at the beginning of December.
