Ive been Jabba'd.

Featured Replies

Hey all.

Been trying to decide for a while now what to do. 1000w Sony cinema system with wireless rear speakers or a Jabba generic re-map. Tough choice, but on driving my car on tuesday night for a while I thought " Sod it, get the re-map". So I phoned Jabba on wednesday morning and asked when they could do it, and they said if I could get there before 3, they could do it.

So off I trundled, only an hour away from me, sweet. Was a bit anxeous as to wether I was doing the right thing. Played on the x-box for a bit (using the profile "briskodanet")on need for speed. Then Mike came up to see me and said my air filter was about knackered. I was toying with idea of a pipercross anyhow, but he explained the Green was a better one. So had that fitted. He also said he ground a lip out from somewhere in the air intake which was a bit resrictive. Nice one. What a nice bunch of people.

I didn't really give it much on the test run, but could feel the difference. On the way home when the engine was propper warm I opened the taps.:eek::eek: Holy crap. I couldn't believe the difference. On the way there I got 49.8mpg, slighty spirited driving, and on the way back 56.5. Am well chuffed, and im now totally convinced I made the right choice. Gonna start saving now for an uprated clutch I think, Just for peace of mind.

So to anyone thinking of a re-map or visiting Jabba for anything, In the words of the Nike ads, Just Do It.

Been there done that and I know exactly what you mean. I think you will find the 3rd lane of the motorway alot more interesting when BMW's or Merk's come up along side you now ;) ;)

I know I do :D Enjoy mate !

Did you go for a generic map or custom like me ?

Im a tight ****, so went for the generic. Was gonna go for the custom one but thought I could put the other £130 ish towards a new clutch if/when mine goes.

Thats good to hear your getting some pleasure and economy from it already!

Trust me if you asked for a smooth custom one the power is brilliant going right through the rev range :)

agreed - another happy jabba customer here. Previous generic map on my Ibiza TDi was one massive peak of torque & power that resulted in wheel spin and a troubled traction control.

My custom Jabba one is a much wider spread of max toque and peak power and much much smoother delivery. Sure that with Jabba's experience the genreic is very similar!

Enjoy!

lol Motorsport wheels in Leeds are pretty good on £££ for tyres I was recommended by a mate and they do good prices.

been there seen it loved it,but i had a clutch and lsd fitted too, lets just say with a dyno proven 346ft lbs of torque and no traction problems my 3 hour drive home was very grin inducing,it feels slow now tho,so when i get some cash sorted its turbo time:D

jabba are quality people who sell quality products, can't recomend them highly enough:thumbup:
