TIP: Changing foglight bulb

Featured Replies

Hey guys, just thought id let you know i found a much easier way of changing the drivers side foglight bulb earlier. if you take off the cover surrounding the foglight you can unclip the back of the light which you can then access with your fingers just about, you can also pull out the chrome reflective surround which the light sits in to allow you to get the bulb out easier, you can also access all this by putting your hand in by where the intercooler intake is and both parts will pull through to there giving you more room to fiddle with it. it is a little fiddly and takes a little time but its ok if its dry and your sat down just keep a cool head. Its less hassle than taking off the bumper too. i havent tried the passenger foglight yet but i assume it will be the same to do if not easier than the drivers side, i hope this tip helps anyone changing their foglight bulbs and im sorry if its a little vague in parts but if you pm me i will be happy to be a little more descriptive as to how to do it. Cheers.

Do you not just unclip the fog light sorround and uncrew the foglight from its housing?

Im going to take my other fog light out possibly tomorrow.

Im currently only running one as the other was craked.

And now my other one has taken a hit.

Crap!

Your owners handbook should tell you that (even on the VRS) the black plastic bit on the bumper can be unclipped, removed then the foglight unscrewed then changed, without having to even think of removing the front bumper... surely?

I didnt know you could do that  ill have a look next time, If that is correct then you sir are a legend as that will save soooo much time and hassle again lol.

Depends on if its a early vrs or later one with front mounted screws , early ones had top mounted screws..
