Anyone had trouble with them?

I ask because I get the emissions warning light on some times, it did it tonight, but it seems to go once the tank is up to a certain level, it could be coincidence, but have any of you experienced this as it all started happening when I put a GSF fuel filter on which didn't have the little blanking flap in the top of it like the original one did.
