front mount

Featured Replies

hey was jst wondering if anyone could tell me all the kind of frontmount intercoolers i can put on my fabia vrs and if it will make much of a difference power wise???cheers:thumbup:

forge are the main type to go for, but seat front mount intercoolers can fit with a bit of work, or there is allard who have rebranded to another name i can think of,

performance wise - on a standard turbo not much difference, the key will be lower intake temps so no heat soak which can affect the smaller side mount intercooler

only really worth it if you plan on going big turbo, other than that look for the pikey mod 2 i think it is, that details how to vent the SMIC better to increase performance,

This Pikey MOD... with the Key word being Pikey I take it this is a botch kinda job to vent the SMIC. I would like to know how to do this just out of curiosity ??? (Not that I'll be doing it on mine if it means ripping bits apart)

Its basically cutting holes in the inside of your arch, means you get a decent air flow pass it.

spot on, similar to the wheel arch on the TT's, just loads of holes then a vent and sealant put over it,

Pro Alloy also make a pretty nifty one :)

We fit alot of forge intercoolers to the 130PD.....very good results and nice fitment

Can this be done well or is it a rogue trader kinda job and could I cut the whole to that of the Audi TT vents size and just fit one of those vents ???

If I could then this does sound appealing but I wont be doing it if theres a great big gaping hole left in my wheel arch.

Ive just bought a forge one to go with my new hair dryer
