Does this usually mean "dodgy map sensor"

Have had this fault code appear on the mongrel after fitting a new bosch 4 bar map sensor, to cope with requested boost pressures of over 2 bar. At the moment, boost pressure = 0.0 bar, and I'm driving around the white one for a bit.

Yes... i had a map sensor die on me with that code after getting an fmic.. they are about 38 quid iirc

Thanks. This "is" a new one, but is clearly faulty. Shall be on to my local Bosch dealer for a replacement monday morning.

Bloody frustrating as I was looking forward to driving the mongrel with a new map and new sensor, and now it's sat in my mate's garage and I'm driving the white one.

stop complaining , at least you have a spare car to run around in :P
