Washers and wipers = gubbed

Featured Replies

Pulled out behind a van today on the motorway.

It was chucking up mega ammounts of dirt.

Went to wash/wipe my window, and nothing.

Stopped and checked, no activity from the motor at all.

Had been working fine 5mins before hand.

Im going to hazzard a guess that a fuse, trouble is i dont have a fuse card or a a service book to check.

My wipers did struggle a bit this morning after i de-iced my window. :(

Cant really be bothered pulling every single fuse out in the cold and dark.

Can somone please tell me what number fuse runs the wash/wipe system.

I hope its not the motor, that'd just be crap.

Cheers in advance.

the exact thing has happened to my friends fabia this morning...

hope its a fuse... lemme know how you get on...

Mine did the exact same thing on my way to work this morning. And there's another thread about someone else's wipers dying today. Weird huh!!!!!!

Mine was just a fuse hopefully that's all that's at fault with yours.

I didnt even search.

Bad me.

Fuse number 15, 10amp mini fuse.

One of which i dont keep a spare.

Well at least i know what it is now, and my hands are bloomin freezin!

Is the bonnet latched down properly? Think I read somewhere that will stop the wipers.

Found it!

Have a look at you bonnet catch, see if you can see the switch on there, has it fallen out? This stops the int wipers working.
