Which Elegance alloys?

Featured Replies

i am from yorkshire - hence i am tight !!

I like both, probably prefer the Thermisto to the Luna. But my point is, and yes it is really sad, the Thermisto means it's an Elegance....Lunas mean it could be an upgraded SE...as I said, very sad!

jcb; I understand your logic, but is the ride difference really that noticeable? (says he who's ordered one without atest drive). You'll definitely lose in the looks department, and with 16"ers the car would look laughable. Come resale time you could have problems too as the vast majority (IMHO) buying a second hand Elegance will want the 18" wheels...they are standard spec afterall and you are downgrading that spec.

I know we've had this conversation on another thread so we will have to agree to differ! At least your car is ordered, my bosses have yet to sign off my order.

Here only the top model, elegance, comes with 17" tyres, the rest with 16". And people who buy used cars, don`t give a rat`s *** about how big the wheels are. Quite the opposite, they think that "smaller tyres, more comfort, less expensive"....

how utterly ridiculous !!

ruins the car completely

looks like a gangster's car !

yep - big difference. we are def getting the 17" wheels and i dont give a dam about resale. i am buying the car to enjoy it for 5 years and not to drive about wishing it had smaller wheels. for the sake of a few hundred quid in 5 years time. might not even make a difference at all to resale

I agree, its not my taste either

My car has been manufactured, and I just made a deal with my dealer : when the car arrives, they will change those awful 17" wheels :thumbdwn: to 16" with Michelin Energy tyres  (205/55 R 16). Of course those winter tyres (studless Continental, same size) will be under the car when I get it in January...

:) 5 weeks still....:silly:
