How do you....

Change a whole fog light on a vRS?

It's not in the Haynes! just want to know if it's a bumper off Job or if they can be done through the whole once the grilles removed?

Also, will I need to find an MOT centre to align them?

Thanks

Rob :)

Bumper off job, but as long as it works, it will pass an MOT :)

i changed one on my old red '04 comfort... easy job i remember.... unclipped grill bit beside it and unscrewed the torx screw cant mind the rest lol.... i dont think front fogs are even tested in mots as not all cars have them.....

If it's a vrs i'm afraid it's a bumper off job. There used to be a guide on the forge motorsport website for removing the bumper (The FMIC fitting guide.) , don't know if it's still there.

I bought a fog light from GSF car parts a year or two ago, after getting a stone through one of mine , quality was very good and looks just like OEM. If i remember correctly it was about half the price of the skoda one.

Bit of a pain having to remove about 30 fasteners just to replace a foglight, hope you're not doing it outside in this weather !!

bumper off - and a couple of torx reachable from behind that secures it in. With the car in the air I did wonder if there was a way of getting to it by removing the engine undertray but that almost sounds as awkward as getting the bumper off.

Heres a post with a very similar title from only 2 days ago ;)

To make it even easier, heres what I said in it ;)

By removing the front bumper unless you have the hands of a thai ladyboy.

Check the forge FMIC fitting guide for bumper removal instructions.
