Fault Code P0172 Please help

Dear All,

Just had the engine management light on so investigated it to fault code P0172 mixture too rich. After looking this up on the interweb it appears to be the lambda sensor at fault. Two Questions - 1. Was wondering if it was the pre cat or post cat sensor & how easy are these to change? 2. Would a split hose under the inlet manifold or dodgy turbo inlet pipe cause the same thing.

The sensor (sensor 1 before the cat) reports the state of the fuel mixture, in this case it is doing exactly what it is designed to do.
