Hi all,

In the next week or so I'm going to be in the process of removing my Colin McRae stickers, thanks to Skodagirl1985 for starting the process for me .

The stickers are on the outside and individual letters, my question is do I soak them them in hot water or use a hair drier to remove them ie warm the glue, and my other question is using Autoglym Glass polish will this remove the unsightly letter marks once the sticker has been removed.

This kind of stuff usually helps. I've used the RS own brand stuff before, but that seems to have been discontinued.

The hairdryer is worth a go too. If they're really stuck a sharp blade used carefully almost parallel to the glass can work wonders.

Thanks for that mate, I think I might be needing that stuff as just trying to peel a bit last night after I noticed a bit torn proved to quite messy.

Yeah just use a hair dryer, or leave the car in the sun if you can. With the weather as it is, your probably going to struggle, unless you have a nice warm garage!

3M do a very good spray for removing the glue, which I used while working for a graphics company. Smelt like lemons too!

I wouldn't use a scraper personally. I've seen a guy ruin a van using a scraper to take off graphics.

You just have to be patient, and let the heat and solvents do their work.

A good wash and polish should get rid of the marks if the graphics haven't been on there too long.

The stickers have been on approx just over a year since I got the Fabia really.

Davy...i've got a heat gun you can use.

Either pop down and get it, and do it in my driveway, or i can drop it off.

Got plenty tar/glue remover here too.

I've got some AG glass polish you can have!

sounds a plan will get back to you as there is a couple of nights I can't do.

warm the glass up from inside too, also a razor blade is good.. be patient and take your time if you want to get it off without to much mess.
