Illumination of gauge needles??

Hi Guys,

Noticed last night that illumination for the needles on the fuel gauge and temp gauge was flickering intermittently. The backlight for both gauges was illuminated fine, it was just the illuminatiion that penetrates the needles themselves that had a problem.

Does this sound like a bulb on its way out, or something more sinister? How difficult is it to change the bulb? And will this be covered under warranty??
