Locks working independantly - any ideas ?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a 2005 1.9tdi estate and just recently the locks have started getting a mind of their own :(

hen you try to lock the car they pins spring back up. when the car is locked and you turn the key in the lock to open the door they immediatly lock again, sometimes they lock of their own accord when driving.

Occasionally you can hear the locks trying to open and close though the pins are not moving in the doors

ANy ideas ? any one come across anything like this before ?

Thanks in advance, am off to do some more seraching now :)

a bit of additional info i have found out.

The indicator relay was changed by the garage the other day. This i believe is behind the hazard switch and its very tight to change so often the radio, surrounding plastic is removed to gain access - if this was done is it possible that the garage has dislodged something causing the door locks to act like they are ?

Thanks
