Has anyone replaced the standard speakers on the superb? Is it worth doing and any suggestions as to what speakers would fit

Are the speakers the same as an equivalent ****at?

Any help gratefully received

Hi

Thanks for your reply! It seems that no-one has ever thought of replacing the standard issue speakers in a Superb... I will have to do some research and post my findings!

As for the ****at, well nothing against the car, but always used it as a derogatory name for said VW battle bus.

I owned one myself and had no complaints, took it to nearly 200k miles so cant have been too bad! :P

WEll said Duffelcoat.

I've definitely thought about it... it's on my to-do list. Or rather, I'll do it when mine fail!

I've only looked at the fronts but I suspect 17.5cm/ 6 1/2" components would fit in fine, perhaps with a ******ised adaptor from something else VAG. I suspect the rears would be 13cm/ 5 1/4".

I'll be amplifying them when I change them so I've got a raft of other problems to deal with... so perhaps in your research if you see an easy method of running new speaker cable I'd appreciate it
