I am trying to fit some in mine, but the back VRS doors trims look longer by about 20mm at the top rear corner????? Has anyone fitted them to an estate and if so did they need altering???

I haven't tried it as yet but the doors are all the same, the estate only differs from behind the rear seats backwards.

Is it just the rear door trims that don't fit, as I have not tried the fronts yet?? If so, are you getting your standard estate rear trims retrimmed to match or all 4 re-done?

Fronts fit fine, probably getting all4 done to match my leather i am getting

I would have found that out today had I had a bit longer, how odd they dont fit.

Carriers are all the same..lol.

I will have a look at mine later in the week to see if I can modify them......

Have modified the rear VRS door panels with a dremel cutting wheel.....Now fit fine....

I used the estate window strip. And cut the top rear corner on each trim until the panel fitted as before....

There is a very small gap at the back edge, about 10mm x 2.5mm, but I can live with that! The cuts showed up as white, so I coloured the edge with a black felt tip pen.

Can you not just remove the vRS cloth trim and place that into the estate door card? I did that on a set of door cards from an Octavia estate to fit a saloon.

You could do that if it was a vRS estate trim to start with, but the vRS had black plastic aswell and the estate doesnt.

Rear doors have no plastic on them Ross, so could be an option!

Once again I stand corrected!

My (Comfort) estate trims had medium grey plastic tops, whereas the VRS ones are dark grey, so can't mix and match. Also can't see how to remove the material from the door trims without trashing them!

I'll try to take some piccies when I next do some more work on fabby #2, which should be tomorrow night.....
