Firstly apologies if this question has been posted before but I did spend a couple of hours reading through the forums to see if it had.

I have got a 1998 Octavia and when you turn the key to lock the door it locks but then just unlocks. The red flashing light (immobiliser I presume) does not come on either.

If you use the lock switch inside the car it locks fine and stays locked.

Any help for a good cheap solution would be muchas grasias.

It is now working as Skoda intended.......how wierd is that.

Even the red light is flashing.

The only thing I can think is that it was not used but it is fine now.

Very strange - i've had similar problems the last few days...... not had any bother with central locking up my drivers door doesn't open via the remote until you try it twice!
