Probably a short circuit - have to investigate the wires/connectors to the heater.

Problem with the heater itself would be very unusual in this situation.

Spoke 2 skoda, they think short circuit as well, still under warranty thankfully as they can't quote a time!!

Spent 4 hours at my main stealer 2 days ago, trying to sort out this problem, finally fixed, apparently the contacts were fouling the bodywork....sorted!! thank god for warranties! 4 hours at £75+vat, no thanks!
