I have a skoda superb 2003 tiptronic auto.

After having the sump replaced the engine started making a horrible rattling noise and there was a loss of power.

Taking it back to the garage I have been told it is a gearbox problem.

Any ideas the sort of costs I am looking at here?:(

Depends on what the problem is? A rebuild could be around £500 - £600, without labour, a new box a lot higher. You could get one second hand for around £250.

As I said depends on what the exact problem is.
