dj mixstation + other questions

Featured Replies

Im looking at getting DJ mixstation 4 for my laptop and have a number of questions for those who have experience of it.

1. how easy is this version to similar programs?

2. is there a way i can make it mono so left speaker is the output and right the preview channel? (like the othe rprogram pro mix or whatever its called)

3. can i get an addition sound card to operate out of the pcmia (whatever its called) as it says on the site to have a preview channel and an output channel i would need two sound cards.

cheers

1. Mixstation 4 is an impressive DJ'ing program, which is generally easy to use even though the online help is mysteriously missing. The suite provides a wide range of effects, including a decent approximation of scratching, pitch bending and the like.

2. Should be under "Settings" and "Output" like the previous version. This allows you to setup everything from Bass options to format ect (really easy)

3. I would use somthing like this (It's what I first started with so rather cheap) -

Eclipse Computers - Product Details

There is some more information here:

Free virtual dj mixstation Download - virtual dj mixstation Software

and what looks like a "Free Trial" - I wouldn't trust that. :o

Hope this helps.

how does that work then? does it just hunt for a mp3 and store it on a small harddrive on the mixer?

It's a USB soundcard come mixing desk, come dual cd deck control in one.

Connect it up to a computer install the software that comes with it and then control it from the external deck.
