MFD2 / Radio needs to be turned on manually each time

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My MFD2 used to always turn on and off with the ignition, unless I turned off the MFD2 before turning off the ignition, in which case I would need to turn it on again next time I used the car. I've just noticed that now I have to turn the MFD2 on each time I put the key in and start the engine.

I'm racking my brains to figure out the sudden change of behaviour. Could it be?

1. The car is intelligently powering down accessories because battery voltage is low (cold weather and battery is now almost 2 years old).

2. Perhaps this is connected with a recent service where my car was reflashed to rectify an issue with the DPF (widely referred to as a recall by Skoda, but isn't actually a recall if you see what I mean!).

3. Something else?

Cheers all,

Dave.

Still doing it, anyone else experience this? It's not the end of the world, but still slightly annoying!

I wonder if you disconnected the battery -ve for 10 mins it might put you back to default.
