Warranty Question

Featured Replies

Hi All, within the next couple of weeks I should be taking delivery of a new My 08 Octavia L&K 2.0 PD TDi DSG hatch. This, according to Skoda's dealer network, which the salesman showed me onscreen as he did the search, was the last such model available.

As the 08 models are old stock then obviously options cannot be specified, you take them as is. I wanted the MFD3 option, unfortunately this "last" car has the sunroof option instead.

Now my question is, if I source and fit an MFD3 unit, replacing the standard Audience head, would it fully integrate with the parking sensors, maxi-dot, wheel controls etc and more importantly would changing the unit invalidate my warranty ?

Cheers

The unit would need coding with VCDS but once done would intergrate seamlessly with the Maxidot, sensors etc

As for the warranty i cant see how that would void it but your best bet would be to speak to Skoda UK who provide it. AFAIK its only things like engine, drivetrain, suspension, brakes etc that invalidate warranties but im no expert

Thanks for the reply Carl, I'll be on the lookout for a reasonably priced unit once I get the new car
