Brake Pad Sensor. Big Thank You to All

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

Just bought me a Superb 130BHP Elegance and if the car is left standing for over a 2 days the brake pad warning comes on intially then clears itself. I believe the pads have just been changed about 2/3 weeks ago. Is this normal?

Also a big thank you to everyone on here who has helped me decide on my next car. I was going to buy 140BHP but then read about DPF.

Checked carpet and made sure the Plenum Chamber drains are clear. I have the pollen Filter cord on order to pick up today.

Car gets serviced in 600 miles. Oil, air and Pollen filters. Do you guys change the fuel filter as well? The Car is on variable but changing to fixed. 47k on the clock.

Any tips on Oil? My father wants to put this top the range Merc oil in my engine saying " this is ££££ and it goes in all our merc engines" I say its not VAG PD approved so it is not going in!!!!"

My rear parking sensor has gone and awaiting a replacement sensor under extended warrenty. Thanks again for all the info on these. I have to say that my stealers have been great and have listerned to everything I have learned from here.

Over the moon with the car and looking forward to France 2009. How can I look forward to 1200 miles with 2 kids? They love this car as well, just got to add DVD player with 2 screens and my work will be done.

Oh Rotodiesel what nut do I have to check above front wheels? lost thread.

Thanks again to all

No, it maybe a loose connection on the plug.

Stick to either 507.00 or 506.01 and you wont go wrong. (i think you can use something cheaper for fixed servicing, not 100% sure as i am on variable)

If you look under the front wheel arch, just above the front tyre you will see a bolt approx 100mm long going through the two top arms, thats the little b#gger! take it out  and copper slip it and replace.
