Radio won't mute

Featured Replies

I have just changed my old Octy2 for a newer Octy 2, so I have swopped the Nokia CK-7W bloothtooth kit over. The kit was working OK when I took it out of the old car, but although the phone connects to the bluetooth unit the radio does not mute and display 'phone' on the screen when making a call.

I have made the same connections for the speaker wires (pins 6 & 12 on block C) and the phone mute lead is on pin 11 on block A.

In the radio menu the phone is ON.

The previous Octy had a stream radio the new one has the stream MP3 radio, but the connections are the same.

Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

The connections are NOT the same on the Stream MP3. The mute pin is in a different location on the stream MP3, you need to relocate one pin in the quadlock to a totally different location.

The stream MP3 mute is on the top row of this diaggram, the previous stream model had it on one of the vertical pins in the centre of the diagram.

Thanks for that Mannyo.

It looks like pin 10 on Block C. I will have to get a connector from the Dealer, but in the meantime I'm sure I can wedge the cable in position.
