I'm interested in changing the cambelt on my 54 plate octy vRS myself. However, I can't find any info in the tech guides section about how to go about it. Could anyone give any advise please? Is there a "how to" guide that I have missed?

Yep there is a "how to guide" in the Haynes manual.

We aren't that technical here sorry, either that or no-one can be arsed too do one lol.

Try ukmk1v's they seem too have more guides than us tbh.

I personally havent done a 'guide' as yet as I feel the Octavia vRS (or any 1.8T cambelt) leaves to much to chance if you dont know what your doing. They aren't the easiest to do as unlike the diesels nothing locks up. Not to mention the fact I hardly ever do one the same twice as i work out better ways of doing them everyone I do.
