what are my options

Featured Replies

whilst cleaning my intercooler today , i thought id check where my knocking noise was coming from , anyway the os antiroll bar bush plastic sleeve thing as slid down the roll bar , and for the life of me i cant get it to slide back , the bush looks fine , so what are my options , any advise would be great cheers :)

If you have caught it early enough then replace the bushes with new ones as the old one will now be too loose without the collar.

If corrosion has set in then the bar will need replacing as it will have worn under the bush.

New bars have done away with the plastic collar due to known issues with them.

thanks for reply , do the new bushes do away with the plastic collar , the bar seems fine under the bush as the plastic sleeve as slid down the bar lol , can i get away with doing just the one side or am i better off doing both ?

new bushes are smaller to eliminate the plastic collar.

Both sides are advisable as it's only a matter of time before it goes. You will need new bush clamps and bolts too. Total cost will be around a tenner from stealers.

I can dig the part numbers out later if you like.

thanks that would be appreciated lots

OK part numbers are:

1J0 411 336 D listed as Clip this is the bush bracket and bolt

1J0 411 314 S listed as Mounting this is the bush.

Use plenty of grease on all mating surfaces when you fit them and you shouldn't have any future issues.

thankyou!!

I have these in 19mm and they are fine. It is recommended that you use new clamps and bolts though.
