Columbus and TV mode ????

Featured Replies

Have done a search and cannot find anything relating to this..........

I have the Columbus Sat Nav and have followed the instructions to try and watch TV (well at least I think so) but with no success.

I press the media button and then the video button. But on the next screen the TV button is not selectable. I can play DVD's fine but don't seem to be able to select TV.

Help ? Or am I a complete numpty and lost the plot ?

I have re-read the instructions again and again. I must be getting old

I believe you will need a TV tuner module in order to watch TV.

This may help although I believe the TV tuner is quite expensive but not looked to be honest.

Really ?? Doesn't mention anything about this in the manual. Feel a call to the stealer coming on

The tuner is not integrated into the headunit, nor is it an optional extra in the UK. You can get them on ebay but they are analogue only (not freeview) so would stop working in 3 years anyway.

Hi

Has anyone definitely worked out whether an aftermarket tv tuner can be added?

I've found this DVB TV Tuner on eBay, but am not sure if it is compatible.

If it is, would the existing ariel be able to provide signal? I think adding a second ariel may be a negative here.
