Sync Iphone calendar with work outlook

Featured Replies

I am supplied with a work laptop and this runs outlook for email, contacts and calendar. I am looking to sync my calendar with my personal Iphone. I can't load Itunes onto the laptop to sync that way as I doubt very much work will let me have the administrator password. Can I sync remotely or is this impossible? I have to use a VPN connection to acces work systems and I thought this might prevent me from syncing. The bosses can sync using their work issued blackberry's but I'm not important enough to get one free.

Are you running Exchange at work? I am pretty certain that the iPhone exchange sync does calendaring as well, but I could be wrong.

You would need to speak to you IT dept about this to be honest - do you have access to Exchange webmail? It is certainly possible although I seem to remember an issue with calendars with the Iphone but they may have fixed this?

Have a look here too :)

For it to work properly, you'll need to run Exchange as your email server at work, and the sync tools will need to be installed on the email server as well. Many corporations are reluctant to do this.

This is the only way for work info to be pushed to your iPhone. You can fudge the same result by doing manual checking of updates and new information for calendar/email, but it's not as slick and it may not work very well, depending on how your work's IT systems are setup and protected.
