Heater control trim removal

Featured Replies

Hi!

Does anybody remember how to remove the heater (AC) control trim (the one with temp, fan speed, AC button etc) ? Is there a trick? I tried prising off at the top, then at the bottom, but was afraid of breaking it. (I need to remove the whole centre console to place some wiring, and the heater control is the only thing still holding.)

Thanks!

The plate that surrounds the heater controls? I just pulled mine off from the buttom, came out OK. Once its off I found it was easier to put back in if you pushed the cubby hole up a bit.

HTH

Yeah, just put my fingers underneath, gripped the lip and gave it a tug.

Steady now

That gets the cover off. To remove the control unit itself there are 2 small torx screws holding it in, accessible from directly underneath the console. :)

Thanks for replies.

Yes, the cover just needed a strong pull at the bottom side, just a bit stronger than I was expecting without breaking.
