ARB links again!

Featured Replies

Bloody ARB links have gone again!!

Replaced them twice already within the last 2 years now the ducking things are fooked again.Have ordered some form main dealer as the ones from GSF are sh!t and don't last.

I wonder if the 100+ speed bumps i go over ever week had anything to do with it?

At least i will get to grease my ARB bushes and clean my front wheels while i'm at it.

Yeah I'd imagine the speed bumps have murdered them nicely!

I changed mine for the GSF ones a few weeks back, hopefully they last a while. How much are the Skoda ones anyway? At least it's an easy job.

Does the 23mm R32 ARB have the crappy plastic sleeves between it and the bushes, or do the bushes run straight on the bar?

Skoda ones are £50 but i managed to get 10% off.

IIRC R32 arb doesn't have the plastic sleeves, just a small welded piece to stop the bar sliding side ways.

Probably will take a 2-3 hours with me cleaning/sealing the wheels as will.

Just had my car serviced and it looks like the ARB links are going on mine again (originally changed under warranty by the previous owner). Are the R32 ones best or are there better ones still?

If it doesn't make much difference then I probably go for standard as well, I have been told that they should last till the next service so plenty of time to sort, I hope... ;)

The VRS and R32 arb links are the same it's the arb bar that is thicker on the R32.

Spent 3 hours removing knacked arb links, greasing arb bushes and cleaning arches and front wheels.

Car is back to being a pleasure to drive.

It's hard to believe what a difference a few things can do to make the car more pleasurable to drive.

Bring on the speed humps.
