tuning boxes

Featured Replies

i thought they were cheap, cheapest i have found is £250, anyone know anywhere cheaper to get one or can supply a pikey ebay resistor for super cheap power gains?

cheers.

When Dragon was still going you used to be able to make them an offer.....not sure about the rest

what car is it for?

dont bother with the pikey ebay resistor, it will make the car run like ****

I have had experience of the Diesel Performance Tuning box (£350 fitted) and at one end of it's adjustment it's very oomphy but drinks diesel and at the other it sips diesel but feels gutless. In the middle it's the same as the standard compromise, so it came off.

Not always the case.

I had a £400 digital Hopa tuning module (German make, dogs b***s) in my MK3 TDI Golf which was not noticebly smoother than the £60 ebay resitor in a box i have in my 110 TDI Octy now. Old golf did 135k before i sold it with no issues (80k with box on), Octy is at 80k (last 60k with box).

If i can remember the name of the one i have i will post it, but remember, the TDI and PD engines require completely different boxes (not sure exactly what you have), which does impact on the cost.

this is a 2.0 16v CR renault engine :)

115bhp now but apparently go to 140 with a tuning box or 160 with a map.
