IP Cam Recommendations?

Featured Replies

Looking for another IP cam to monitor my pets whilst I'm at work - I currently have a Panasonic BL-C20 which I got secondhand cheap on ebay. Been looking at others and the prices vary dramatically - can anyone recommend a reasonably priced model, the cheaper the better. I'd prefer wireless if possible, don't need PTZ but would go for it if it was cheap enough. I'd ideally lie one that works in low light conditions too. Any suggestions?

Axis are great cameras although on the expensive side... we have a few at work axis 207's, very top quality, but maybe a vivotek model may better suit with regards pricing...

i got one from ebuyer, including external housing (which you may not need) for £180 ish quid, and has top resolution and also dual connection for both mpeg live viewing and mjpeg for capture... no good for unlit areas though!!!

i'll try and find link to it now...

edit: will also do POE, with the right switch... just more expense though i suppose, and not wifi either sorry

As above, Axis are great but expensive. I have a D-Link wich is OK.

I've used the Axis cameras and they were reliable.

Axis rule for quality and ive compared a fair few now. Exceptionally reliable kit and good image quality.

If you need help with models or want a contact number for a deal then drop me a PM :)

Thanks for the advice everyone - looks like the general consensus is Axis so I may have to wait a while to go further with this one!
