Other Squeaking Clutch Pedal

Featured Replies

My clutch pedal squeaks a lot when used, used WD40, spray grease, and silicone spray... all they seem to have done is make the pedal move better, squeaking no less though!

Any ideas?

Me too!

Recon it might be the spring

Is there a pivot with a rubber bush in it in the clutch system?

There appears to be a polyurethane bush in the actual pivot, but there are so many other moving parts on it! Have liberally covered them all in product and repeatedly pressed the pedal, still squeaks :(

Polyurethane shouldn't need greasing!

That's what I was thinking... there's so many things that could be squeaking down there!

Have you tried driving with different shoes on? Might just be the sole of show squeaking on the pedal.

It's definitely the clutch pedal :)

my brothers clutch pedal squeaks on his VRS , the pedal is catching the trim under the dash on his

Which would suggest a need to trim a hard trim, or support a sagging soft trim, or glue a sticky up carpet. Individual cases and solutions will almost certainly vary!

Squeaks even with the under dash trim removed :)

i'm sure there are other bits of plastic/trim whatever up by the pedal, you'll have to have really look and listen and waggle whilst you pump the pedal
