Columbus trim surround

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

Can someone give me a part number for the Columbus trim surround? I have the dual zone climatronic unit but my dealer is having trouble getting the right part.

They mentioned a piano black surround but I think this might be for the facelift model which is a shame as that would compliment my L&Ks trim :rotz:

I've had a look through some older Columbus related threads but I am not 100% which part number is the right one or what colours are available.

TIA :)

From a search of previous posts, these are all the options for cars with climatronic:

1Z0 858 069 C 9B9 - Trim for climatronic switch for vehicles with navigation system satin black NO PHONE SLOT

1Z0 858 069 G 9B9 - Trim for climatronic switch for vehicles with navigation system satin black PHONE BRACKET SLOT

1Z0 858 069 L 2AU - Trim for climatronic switch for vehicles with navigation system bright aluminium NO PHONE SLOT

1Z0 858 069 Q 2AU - Trim for climatronic switch for vehicles with navigation system bright aluminium PHONE BRACKET SLOT

I ordered the 1Z0 858 069 L 2AU for my 07 plate vRS from my local dealer a few weeks ago. Part number was recognised and arrived in two days.

Is that the MFD2 or the Columbus?

I already have the MFD2 fitted but have ordered a Columbus.

As they are a different shape they will be different part numbers, this is where the confusion arises.

I got my trim surround to fit a Columbus (in place of a Stream HU) using these part numbers.

Are you sure that the MFD2 and Columbus are a different shape?

****................

The man at the dealership (convincingly) told me the Columbus was a different shape to the MFD2 and that a salesman had the same problem when his vRS had one fitted.

After looking at some proper pictures of the Columbus it IS the same shape as the MFD2
