Help in fitting front speakers octavia vrs mk1 wiring?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys i have recently purchased a 2003 octavia mk1 vrs and immediatly was dissapointed in the sound of the stock speakers so i wanted to upgrade them but not go over the top. I have purchased some alpine sxe-1725s for the front doors which fit well, I am either going to leave the stock tweeters in or remove them if they sound bad as i dont have lots of cash to spend.

The problem im having is the wiring to the speakers, to save re-wiring and cutting the speaker loom have purchased four wiring adaptors which should just plug and play but im getting nothing out of either the tweeter or the new speaker, i have swapped the connections over and still nothing, i set the standard cd player onto front right as this is the side im doing first and still nothing , I plugged the std speakers back in and they work fine. Does anyone have any ideas i have tried all four wiring adaptors in case one was faulty

These are the leads i have purchased

Adaptor for speaker VW GOLF IV, VW PASSAT, SEAT, SKODA on eBay, also Other Speakers, Speakers, In-Car Entertainment GPS, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 15-Apr-09 03:16:35 BST)

Thanks in advance

Craig
