Getting wheel geometry checked?

Featured Replies

At last got my car back today.

Whilst chatting we had a quick conversation about the old tyres taken off my car.

The dealership said that the "Wear wasn't too bad, certainly better than a lot I see, but it wasn't perfect, you might want to get your geometry checked".

Now is this the kind of check that my local tyre place can do or is it a little more specialised than that?

Any advice on who can do this check?

After spending £460 on a new set of boots I'd like to know they are going to wear evenly :)

Some local tyre places are better than others. We have one down here, sadly a long way from you that is very good, but not cheap for a full four wheel alignment. We have another one that messed up two cars of mine and my mother-in-law's Golf. Do some local research. Most areas seem to have internet sites with local trade reviews.

There is a massive thread on wheel alignment on here written by a person in the know, have a search and read and see what you think.
