Skoda Octavia Electric window problem weird one this

Featured Replies

Have recently changed my drivers side electric window regulator ,motor the everything.

But when i open and close the window it takes 10 presses of the the button to close it in either direction.

The regulator was not a VAG issue but off EBAY for 50 quid , good quality just the issue of going up and down in steps.

Could this be a ECU with it's knickers in a twist or possibly a different Reseistance on the motor .

All that was on the motor was two wires Blue an Black so i have directly soldered straight to the control board where it supplyed the old motor.

I know change it again for a proper VAG one but ah well learn by mistakes.

Anyone got any sensible sugestions.

I don't follow you. Is the new motor regulator pretty much the same as the old one, but it came without a control box so you've swapped that from the old one by soldering the leads to the motor?

When the the window does move, does it seem to move freely?

Octavia I or II?

welcome along, please post in correct section for a faster response
