Hi Guys,

New member here so please be easy on me. Have had my 54 plate octavia 1.9tdi from new (now 67k) and have my first problem.

I have the orange warning light (lights) lit on the dash and have lost the o/s front fog and n/s rear fog. Fuses and bulbs check out ok. Any ideas.

p.s. Do Haynes do a manual yet!

By default the only rear fog light that works is the offside one unless its been coded for both to work so you can eliminate that one.

As for the front you've obviously checked the basics, do you have 12v arriving at the foglight connections? Could also be a dodgy ground, do a general check for corrosion in or around the bulb and electrical connections.

IIRC there isnt a Haynes manual for the A5 Octavia as yet.

Fuses and bulbs check out ok.

I think the OP has checked the bulbs already.

Was it a visual check or have you put a test meter across it?
