Skoda MS401 Radio Cassette

Featured Replies

Hi all...Not having any luck in the 'Wanted' section in locating one of these units so hope for better luck here ! The detachable LCD front of my unit is cracked and I am looking to purchase another one (or a complete unit). Also an instruction book for same.

Thanks in anticipation.

Regards Rob

Hi, if you can't find one you might be better off just looking for a cheap stereo. £50 will get you a decent enough cd player that will probably sound better than the original unit and stereos aren't too difficult to fit, especially in the Felicia.

Thanks fella. Looks like that's what I'll have to do although most of my music is on cassette (and I'm happy to keep it that way !). I just thought there might be some MS401's gathering dust in garages after upgrades.

Regards

iirc the ones with a detachable front are coded to the main unit so you cant mix and match them

Thanks for that info TT. Looks like I need a complete unit if one becomes available.

If you don't have any luck looking for a direct replacement - cd multichangers often come with tape decks for the front and a cd multichanger for under the seat / boot of the car. I upgraded to this when my original head unit gave up in my Favorit.

I'll be removing the blaupunkt tape unit from my felly very shortly

Thanks fella but already replaced the MS401 with a Sony CD unit I took out of my first felly (and forgot I had it !!). However, I do appreciate (all of) you taking time-out to leave a message.

Regards Rob
