Advice on removing a trim panel please.

Featured Replies

I would like to remove an internal trim panel on a 2008 Octavia but I am having trouble with one fitting. The panel is the one by the passengers right side. It goes from the gearstick to the footwell and up to the glovebox and radio area. I have removed the one screw in the footwell and have started to side the panel back. I have seen the two large white plastic fittings that clip around the radio area. The problem is there is a fitting in about the middle of the panel that I do not know how to release. it appears to be a square bar about one inch square that would appear to go over to the other side panel. Any advice on this fitting much appreciated.

Screw behind the ash tray if its the area I think it is. You may have to remove the ash tray to see it.
