Halfords are overpriced on most of their stock, hence the comment. Shop about and look online if you want to see how much by.

I bought my head unit from car audio direct in manchester for £50 less than halfords price. Also found that cleaning gear was a whole lot cheaper from somewhere like cleanyourcar.co.uk. Don't even get me started on their tools! Complete rip off!

Halfords can be very useful for emergency buys and they do sometimes have good offers, but they take advantage a bit on their prices, as they prey on the ill informed general public.

For example,windscreen wash prominentlydisplayedat front of store, £4-£6 for 5 litres.

Hidden away on a shelf - concentrated screenwash,£6 does up to 40 litres. Of course, many people never make it to the shelf.

Good business sense I suppose, but still painful to watch people throwing they're money away.

Their trade discount card helps on the tools. Although for most things there is still a cheaper alternative, like tool station etc.

How long is it on for as I wouldn't mind buying so detailing products (clays etc)

I have used this offer quite a few times recently.. It brings the prices down over the 3 items to roughly online prices, or at least more in-line with online prices!
