Just slammed the boot on my vRS estate and heard the sound of something small and metallic drop inside it. Its now rattling around in there although thankfully not audible when driving. Rear wash/wipe still works - I can't really think of anything critical in the tailgate that it might be.

Any thoughts? I am due a service in a month so will probably just get the garage to investigate then.

Check the screw in the rubber pulldown strap. Mine worked loose a few weeks ago, SWMBO is now banned from ever touching that strap again

Maybe one of the clips has come loose from the trim, mine pulled out of the plastic trim and was rattling in the boot for weeks!
