I'm upgrading the HDD to 500GB soon and I'm considering partitioning it and installing another OS. I know linux should go on fine but what other ones do? Someone said to me there's a lite version of Windows 7 about which may work, any ideas?

The only one that i know works is Yellow Dog Linux. 3 of my friends have that on their's and 1 of which has a 400GB HDD in it

Never heard of any windows version working but no doubt there will be a way. But why plague the system with problems

as said, the only other OS that will work is Linux. while it will work fine as a pc, it is limited in it's performance as Sony diables the performance of the PS3 when in other OS mode. I had it on mine for a while, but as I already have a pc I never used it and so took it off again.
